T-E Introduces World’s First HDMI Conditioner/Splitter

Transformative Engineering has introduced the world’s first HDMI Conditioner/Splitter, a new type of device that is designed to resolve HDMI component and cable interface issues, and also to simplify the connection of multiple displays to a single source. The Transformative Engineering two-way HDS-12 and four-way HDS-14 both incorporate T-E’s exclusive “HDCP Stabilization” circuitry to provide a solution for troublesome HDCP reliability issues when used with certain audio/video components, displays and cable boxes.  Known as a difficult protocol for long-length connectivity, HDMI can sometimes be unreliable if strict guidelines are not followed.   The HDMI Conditioner function of these devices works to “clean up” unstable HDCP identifier markers to allow for consistent display of High Definition signals and compliance with the most advanced HDMI...

T-E Expands the Envelope of HDBase-T Capabilities

Transformative Engineering has introduced the next-gen implementation of HDBase-T technology that will provide custom installers with greatly improved audio/video/data distribution capabilities, including the first (ever)use of simultaneous ARC (Audio Return Channel) and HEC (Home Ethernet Connection). This will allow audio signals to be sent back from a TV to a receiver and connection of the home internet connection at the TV over the same HDMI cable. These new models also support Power Over HDBase-T (POH) capabilities that eliminate the need for separate power supplies at the receiver module and provide the ability to remotely power ancillary equipment. These technologies will be used in the company’s new HD-1 Improved HDMI extender and will be selectively applied to the new QX-4 Matrix Switcher, which offers 4 x 4 (expandable to 8 x 8) matrix...

Transformative Engineering, a new company devoted to improving the audio/video interface for custom installers and systems integrators, has introduced its HD–1 Professional HDMI Extender, which expands the range of an HDMI cable connection from its typical 30-foot maximum to well over 300 feet using inexpensive CAT5e/CAT6 cables. This will allow projectors and other HDMI devices to be located far from their sources with no loss of picture resolution or HDMI functions such as 3D and Audio Return Channel, while providing up to 4k x 2k resolution. In addition to a full HDMI interface, the Transformative Engineering HD-1 also supports a TOSLINK digital audio output, infrared bi-directional remote control pass-thru, three-port 10/100T Ethernet connections, and a full function RS-232...

The Transformative Engineering (T-E) OB-1 uses inexpensive CAT5e/CAT6 networking cable to span the distances between two remotely located OB-1 devices. Each OB-1 Omni-Balun has multiple internal baluns (balanced-to-unbalanced transformers), connections for component video, composite video, analog stereo audio, coaxial digital stereo audio, two RJ-45 network connectors, and two IR pass-through connections with a removable...
